A research study on the influence of three N-fertilization levels on some quality properties of five spring wheat varieties were carried out in the period 1998-2000. The highest level of N-fertilization of 150 kg N ha-1 resulted in a decrease of bulk density and gluten index. The highest value of the gluten index was noted for the kernels of var. Torka. In the wettest year 1999, wheat kernels appeared to have the highest values of the index gluten and falling number out of the three varieties tested.

Zmiany wybranych cech jakościowych ziarna kilku odmian pszenicy pod wpływem zróżnicowanego nawożenia azotowego

W latach 1998-2000 przeprowadzono badania wpływu trzech poziomów nawożnia azotowego na niektóre cechy jakościowe ziarna pięciu odmian pszenicy jarej. Zastosowanie 150 kg N×ha-1 wywołało obniżenie gęstości usypnej oraz wartości indeksu glutenu. Najwyższą wartością indeksu glutenu wyróżniało się ziarno Torki. W najwilgotniejszym z trzech lat badań 1999 r. ziarno pszenicy cechowało się najwyższymi wartościami indeksu glutenu i liczby opadania.
