ABSTRACT
Size distributions of macropores and solid phase elements in the arable layer of Rendzic Leptosol after ploughing, plough-milling and harrowing were evaluated. Samples of undisturbed structure were taken from the soil and afterwards dried and impregnated with resin. Photographs of obtained polished opaque blocks were subjected to computer-aided image analysis. Then macroporosity, absolute and relative number, equivalent diameters and mean weighted diameters of pore and solid phase element cross-sections were calculated. The cross-sections were categorised into 557 size classes, according to their equivalent diameters in the range from 0 to 70.74 mm at every 0.127 mm. The graphs of integral and differential size distributions of pore and solid phase element cross-sections vs. their equivalent diameter were drawn. The number of cross-sections of pores and solid phase elements was the lowest after ploughing, and the highest – after harrowing. The soil after harrowing was characterised with the smallest mean weighted diameter of pore cross-sections and the largest mean weighted diameter of aggregate cross-sections. The opposite results were obtained for the soil after plough-milling, and intermediate ones – for the ploughed soil. The effects of the three cultivation tools were clearly visible in the integral and differential size distributions of cross-sections of pores and solid phase elements. Shapes of the obtained curves enabled to evaluate the degree of pore interconnection and the degree of aggregate development.

Zmiany rozkładu wielkości makroporów i elementów strukturalnych fazy stałej w rędzinie mieszanej pod wpływem uprawy
struktura, rędzina, pług, brona, pługofrezarka
Dokonano oceny rozkładu wielkości makroporów i elementów fazy stałej w warstwie uprawnej rędziny mieszanej, poddanej działaniu pługa, pługofrezarki i brony aktywnej.
