ABSTRACT
Laboratory experiments were performed to study the influence of time and temperature on the amount of organic matter released from soil. Samples of six different peat materials that represent: weakly, medium, strongly and very strongly secondary transformed peats were submitted to release experiments at 20 and 90°C. Beside time and temperature, the state of secondary transformation of peat material has influenced on the amount of released organic matter. Two shapes of kinetic curves were obtained.
